- Age - 24; Occupation - Aspiring Sports Journalist (hopefully majoring in Ice Hockey); Work - Messenger Newspaper Group; From around 10 years old i have been addicted to ice hockey, since i saw the puck drop between the Manchester Storm and the Bracknell Bees at the then called Nynex Arena, i have been captivated by the speed, skill, tension and atmosphere that surrounds a fantastic sport that has become a major part of my life. I played two seasons of junior hockey with the Altrincham Jets U16's and the Flintshire Avalanche U19's. The hanging up of my skates was due to college and the travel times were not ideal with late night, mid week training in Wales. Since then i have completed a University degree in English and i am now looking to embark on a career in Journalism. I write articles for the local newspaper on the ups and downs of the Manchester Phoenix whilst also supplying match reports to the website www.britishicehockey.co.uk. I have completed an NCTJ in newspaper journalism, which included passing exams in Sports Journalism, Law & Public Affairs.
